You know those little sketches that people create mindlessly during boring meetings? I paint those. Just like you see kittens in clouds or Elvis in a potato chip, I see images in my doodles. It's called pareidolia (that's your word of the day). I find it quite interesting how a random collection of lines can turn into a petrified cowboy, ie. Eternal Sunset. So I tend to work on the abstract and surreal spectrum of painting since doodles are rarely realistic.

Like pretty much every artist ever, I've had a passion for art ever since I can remember. But rather than go to art school I became a mechanical engineer since it promised a much more stable economic future. And it did just that while at the same time allowing me to pursue painting. In between paintings I spend my time reading art books and blogs, watching Youtube videos, and watching reruns of Bob Ross to grow my artistic talents.

My paintings can be purchased on Vango.

For those with Twitter, I'll post some pics of in progress paintings if you are interested.

And last but not least, The Facebook.…

I spent the last 10 years writing and recording music.  It's difficult to even reach people so I decided to put that part of my life on hold indefinetly.  I've had ideas for abstract paintings so I've decided to give this a run to see how it's received.  So definitely leave feedback, good or bad.  I'd like to gauge where I am.  Thanks  - Nathan.

Thank you.  With so many artists out there it's hard to get noticed but I try not to let that bother me.  I just push forward and continue creating when I can.  If I get more recognition one day, that'd be great.  But if not, that's ok too.
